Activating Your Parasympathetic System: 10-Points Practice for Relaxation
10-points practice is an ideal practice for regulating the nervous system and will help you feel relaxed and energized as you connect into the 10 key points of the body through the use of a subtle and refined introspective awareness. Restore your body and nervous system to a resilient baseline of relaxation and alertness. Release tension and overactive stress responses and feel calm and engaged in your everyday life. Embodiment truly is a superpower when we practice it.
Meet the Teacher
Hi, I’m Jen
I am passionate about helping others discover how to use the body itself as a supremely powerful tool for connecting us to the joy and freedom our lives have to offer. Trauma and chronic stress patterns from our past, or even relational present, keep us, or on extreme occasion, have completely severed us, from experiencing our world in its most pure and rich texture and brilliance.
I’m here to tell you that you’re deserving of a full, rich life without trauma triggers and an overdrive nervous system nagging you. You already have everything you need within you to heal, and you can fight to restore your vitality, even against all odds of your past, or current situation. All you need is the courage to begin, and a curiosity to plumb the depths of your somatic interior.
What Past Students Have to Say
“Jen was incredibly helpful, patient, kind, and knowledgable. I have a fairly strong background in meditation/mindfulness and was not sure how much new information I would learn. I was greatly surprised how much I received and how well I was taught to implement it in my daily life. My experience was personally and professionally beneficial and well timed. Jen is obviously well versed in her subject.”
“This course came at the perfect time for me…I was dealing with serious (compassion) fatigue and overwhelm as a mental health counselor and Jen and somatic meditation was exactly what I needed!!!”
“Excellent course and very effective for anyone seeking self-care as front line human service workers, caregivers, and contributing members of society. We all need to exhibit more embodiment and a calm, relaxed disposition as we move about our days. But most importantly we need to restore our sense of Self and by doing so exhibit more compassion towards ourselves, then we can care for others in an even more helpful way. Jen is an excellent guide and her energy and passion for her work is very evident and comes acrosss in her teaching method and examples. I would strongly recommend this course. It came at the perfect time during this COVID crisis.”
TRAINING TO RELAX IS REQUIRED FOR NERVOUS SYSTEM REGULATION
The art of relaxation is inherent to us, a natural part of our being. However, it's often buried beneath the weight of conscious or subconscious suppression.
Mastering the ability to relax, especially in the company of others, holds immense significance. In our fast-paced lives, we've gradually lost touch with this innate skill, often feeling guilty when we take a moment to do 'nothing.' Our nervous system's inherent capacity for relaxation is frequently obscured by a multitude of factors: chronic stress, relentless lifestyles, societal expectations of constant busyness, the pursuit of perfection, our 'always doing' mindset, self-sacrifice, caregiving responsibilities, unbalanced work-life ratios, toxic relationships, avoidance of conflict, incessant rumination, overthinking, and neglecting self-care, to name a few.
It’s time to train a DIFFERENT WAY!
