Service No. One

Somatic Psycho-Therapy using Somatic Experiencing™ + Realization Process®

The ordinary response to traumatic events is to banish them from consciousness, or push through in a “pull yourself up by the bootstraps” approach. But here’s the kicker, the impact remains stored in body memory, AND we are never separate from consciousness, because we ARE consciousness. So even though the mind may perform tasks such as: blocking, cognitive dissonance, dissociation, distractibility, rumination, busy-ness etc., the constrictions of trauma often stay stuck in pockets of subtle energy, emotion and chronic pain in the body. Causing DIS- EASE. We may appear and even believe that we are moving forward in life, but we are actually walking backwards into our future. In one-on-one somatic psychotherapy we will work in these three phases:

  • Attunement: Become aware of and unwind from constrictions from the body whether related to trauma, self-limiting beliefs or stress/overwhelm.

  • Release: Use gentle somatic attunement practices and release techniques to let go of holding patterns that no longer serve you.

  • Compassionate Inquiry: Cultivate deep and sincere compassion for self and others by taking the suffering you have experienced and adapting it to a broader Healing Ground bringing meaning, purpose and motivation to your life.

This three stepped approach can help us find our sense of inner clarity, provide somatic release from old trauma patterns and relational wounding, and build solid self-confidence.

Courses + Retreats

Immerse yourself in an embodiment training that can cut out years of individual psycho-therapy. Using the teachings from the Realization Process coupled with extensive Somatic Experiencing™ and somatic meditation principles the courses I offer can be a portal to an embodied Self, faster than small-town gossip.

  • Release your tight grip on habit.

  • Be in your BODY and live from a constitution that accepts and embraces ALL of you.

  • Stop limiting beliefs, and trying your hardest to meditate with your MIND. Use the BODY, and an integrated SELF instead.

  • Discover a Core part of YOU that has never been broken, fragmented or wounded.

  • Respond to your life and connect in your relationships from a steady, unflappable, grounded and embodied Self.

Meditation Coaching

Incorporate the ancient wisdom of somatic meditation into your everyday life. I craft a unique approach that will benefit YOU, unifying and drawing from the concepts of Mindfulness, Compassion, Tibetan Vajryana Buddhism, Zen, Taoism, and, the Realization Process, as I am learning from my teacher, Dr. Judith Blackstone. I also add in the useful dynamics of depth psychology, the skills of differentiation, the neuroscience of breathwork, years of body psychotherapy experience and Bowen + Jungian principles. With the added flavor of books, poetry, music and movies to color our lessons with immediate applicability and understanding.

  • Break out of the limiting structure of “thought” meditation or what today is classically referred to as “mindfulness” and learn how to meditate IN your body.

  • Stop limiting beliefs, and trying your hardest to meditate with your MIND. Use the BODY, and an integrated SELF instead.

  • Walk like a tiger in your life: mindful, with a deep sense of purpose and connection to your spine, your ground, and a rejuvenated felt-sense of agency.

  • Fight to restore homeostasis in your body-mind-soul. Develop a healthy, fluid and vibrant growth SYSTEM.
